Grafted Panama Gold Passionfruit

Passiflora caerulea (rootstock), Passiflora edulis-panama gold (scion)

The Nellie Kelly Grafted Panama Gold Passionfruit vine brings the lush growth of the tropics to the cooler, southern states. With its hardy, frost resistant rootstock, this vine is highly immune to disease, pests and temperature extremes, thriving as far south as Tasmania.

The Nellie Kelly Grafted Panama Gold Passionfruit vine produces lush green foliage that covers up to 8 square metres a year. Its super large, golden, soft-skinned fruit with juicy, aromatic pulp are generally sweeter than the black passionfruit, with around 100 to 150 pieces of fruit a season.

Plant in a sunny, well-drained area and expect flowers from spring with fruit from summer until autumn. With any grafted plant it is vitally important to remove any growth below the graft, including suckers, using a sharp knife or blade.
